Erased my post

I was trying this with a self-hosted Wordpress blog. It seems to read my posts and drafts OK, so I took an existing draft and tried to give it a whirl. The first confusing thing is that there isnt a "save" button anywhere. So I pressed the edit button which said it would update the site based on what Id been editing locally. What it did however was erase the draft from the site. I ended up cutting and pasting back into the web browser, then fixing links and reformatting.

Needs to be easier, IE "save local" and "save remote" and should never ever erase things on your server.
